TMNT buffs may soon be able to take their obsession onto the roads with the Turtle. Even if you weren’t a fan of the famous cartoon series, this vehicle sure is going to attract your attention. The Turtle is a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) designed by student industrial designer, Stefano Marchetto, Built with a flexible interior based on a fuel cell platform, the four-wheel steering of the Turtle is controlled by a Drive-by-Wire system (DbW). An absence of physical connection between the platform and the cabin results in the tail and the nose of the vehicle to shift towards the middle. The Turtle was selected for the 2006 edition of the Michelin Design Challenge, an annual auto show that showcases innovations in vehicle design. It also competed in the Stile Italiano Giovani competition and was included in the Mitomacchina exhibition held at the Mart art museum in Trento, Italy.
