Move over the Pulsars and the Karizmas and even the yet to be launched Yamaha R15, TVS’s electric motorcycle concept could leave all other Indian bikes looking very sheepish. Yeah, Venu Srinivasan, TVS motors’ managing director, took the wraps off TVS’s X-Fossil electric bike which maxes out at a very fast 140 kilometres per hour and gets there even faster. The X-Fossil takes just 3.2 seconds to hit the 60 kmph mark which makes it the fastest accelerating Indian motorcycle this side of the legendary Yamaha RD350. And, all this is achieved in a clean, green way with an electric motor that develops 25 bhp. Styling wise, the X-Fossil looks unlike any Indian bike with it’s futuristic muscle bike looks, and we do notice just a little bit of Suzuki B-King in the X-Fossil. Venu Srinivasan boldly remarked,
The X-Fossil is a concept bike which we have showcased. We want to show that even electric bikes have the power and style.
let’s just hope that the X-Fossil makes it to production and changes the rules of the game in the Indian Bike industry.
