CO2 is the most disastrous element that is produced while burning of fossil fuels. Till date the most viable solution to keep the environment free from CO2 was capturing it and storing it underground which was again very risky. Chemists at University of California at San Diego have come up with a very productive method that would not only eliminate CO2 but also will provide with useful products like oxygen and carbon monoxide (CO).
The researchers have discovered a semiconductor catalyst device that can split CO2 into one atom of oxygen and carbon monoxide. CO finds a great use in production of detergents and plastics. This new research will be of great help in carbon capture and sequestration at power plants and other facilities that are burning fossil fuels. With this kind of work I am sure that it can also work as a major toll against global warming.

This is a very interesting article. I am always interested in ways to prevent global warming.
We have been hearing a lot about this at the dinner table from my daughter who attends UC San Diego. It is amazing, isn’t it??
can i get information on this method,i am to working on similar lines
