Anglophile Italian company, UK Garage have modified the MK1 Lotus Exige into Lotus Extrema. The biggest change comes to the chassis, which has been modified to accept a number of engines ranging from the turbocharged 2.6-l V6 that produces 350hp, to a massive V8 in the form of a supercharged LS9 spewing 638 hp. There are of course, a number of V6 and V8 powerhouses filling the gap between these two engines, all mated to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.

As for other changes, the wheelbase has been extended, the headlights are MK2 Exige inspired, and the car gets a GT3 style bodykit. The 638hp supercharged LS9 version gets a 200+ mph top speed, and can cover the zero to 60mph dash in just 2.9 seconds. UK Garage have built the car mainly for track use, but they offer to provide fully street legal versions as well. The base model is priced at 66,000 Euros.
