Electric Citroen C1 will soon be available across the UK for £16,850 ($24,800). The (electric) car as such, isn’t manufactured by Citroen; it gets an aftermarket electric powertrain by Electric Car Corporation. The aftermarket addition, though, does have the approval from Citroen. Specs aren’t all that impressive, with a six-hour charging time and a range of 60 to 70 miles, but if it’s green that you’re looking for, it can’t be all that bad.
The company plans conversion of 500 C1s this year, going up to somewhere near 2000 to 4000 units by the end of next year.
