Vandals in Amsterdam have taken up a new weekend hobby, “Smart Tossing.” Smart ForTwos parked near the canals are obviously the ones that are more likely to sleep with the fishes, and unlike larger cars that are usually parallel parked, Smarts are more likely to be parked with the front or rear towards the water, making the job much easier. A low guard rail alongside canals does offer a wee bit of protection, but then these people just pick the lightweight cars and send them to their watery grave. It’s not just the Smart cars that bear the brunt, if these goons don’t find a small car around, they’ll throw other small vehicles like scootmobiles into the canal.
