Pickup trucks are cool, but why would anyone turn a perfectly good Porsche into one? As things stand, human whims are enough to make a person embark on such adventures and even come out with success. A person took two years to create a pickup based on the Porsche 928 GTS and even managed to get it certified by German TUV inspection, after Porsche intervention.
The truck is 70cm longer, to accommodate the third axle that creeps its way in with the changes. Engine has been changed from the stock 5.4-L 350hp to a 6.1-L that delivers 390hp. The conversion though, has taken the best out of the Porsche, it no longer has the performance of a Porsche, and as the owner admits, it is no good at carrying anything. It is cool to see a Porsche truck, but when it comes to practical use, the vehicle scores low.
