Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 concept car is on show at the Essen Motor Show. The number 270 in the name stands for the 270PS of power that its engine develops. The new car is sportier in stance with enhanced exteriors. The highlights of the car are the gadgets it flaunts, there is an RNS 510 radio navigation system and a powerful audio system for 1,400 Watts of thumping music.
The high-end audio system has 13 loudspeakers powered by three amplifiers to accompany them there is an 880-Watt subwoofer and two 250-Watt subwoofers done in chrome. Rear of the car has two 12-inch display screens to complete the entertainment system.
Hood of the showcar houses a performance enhanced engine from the Golf GTI and it borrows the 4motion all wheel drive from the R32. This 270 PS engine takes the car from zero to 100kmph in 5.8 seconds and is capable of going all the way to the electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
Exteriors see modifications for a hint of the Racing car look. The bumpers, radiator grille, side skirts, taillights, headlamps and the mirrors have been modified. Sitting lower by 20mm and riding on 19-inch alloys, the car also receives xenon headlamps and daytime running LED lamps. The rear has twin-fluted tale pipes at each end with a diffuser housed between them. Interiors have leather sport bucket seats with the R-logo and painted door handle recesses.
