Volkswagen has supped up the engine for its hot selling Touareg. The Touareg’s most popular engine option, the V6 TDI now delivers more power, torque and is more fuel-efficient.
Power has gone up to 240hp and the torque delivered stands at 550Nm; an increase of 7% and 10% respectively, from the previous version. Fuel economy has been boosted up as well and is now pegged at 9.6L/100km. Improved power means the Touareg can now scale zero to 100kmph in 9 seconds, an improvement of 1 second from its previous stand.
The enhanced Touareg V6 TDI is up for sale; the manual transmission version costs €46,900 and the automatic transmission trim is available for €49,150 in Germany.
