The small car market is now the hot bed for car makers around the globe and it isn’t a fact we can keep beating around all the time. Even thinking of doing it is now a futile attempt for record car sales around the globe have hinted at the smallest variants being the most successful ones. VW has seemingly joined in the brigade for it has announced the arrival of the Up! a concept version of which was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.
It is important to capture the market early for it promises to deliver maximum space of all its compatriots and thus would hit the market as early as 2010. The fact that it even promises to be eco-friendly with CO2 emissions as low as 100g/Km and lower it is sure to woe even the most geeky environmentalists. Talk about the ones who are fussier about economy, with a targeted 80mpg, even they would be pleased to the brim.
It would surely be glittery on the inside as well with a digital touchscreen display on the dashboard. With measurements being 11.5 ft in length and 5.2 ft in width, this small bug (going by the makers name) would expectedly come with a tagging of around $8000, which is not all that bad considering that its engine would be twin cylinder turbocharged.
