What happens when a sprightly force meets a lethargic object? Well, you get a TH2 rear-drive Multivan delivering 558PS of power. Appealing enough for joystick addicts to give up their virtual gaming and take to the roads for a double-dose of adrenaline and a spine-curdling driving experience! We intend to dampen your spirits a wee bit, so we have to mention that this Volkswagen T5 van, souped-up by a Porsche 996 GT2 3.6ltr twin-turbo engine, has hugged logic (sense rather!) by upgrading the suspension and the brake system (six piston calipers for the front and 4-pots for the rear). So, if you think jumping the red flare can be conveniently attributed to a ‘no bounds’ machine, you will be disappointed.
There isn’t a radical departure from the exterior design of the T5, except for a smaller tailgate, lower suspension and the red Brembo calipers. The interior, however, reflects the wholesome Porsche diet the van has been subject to, with a Porsche steering wheel and ignition key. For the effect, a rear view camera and a DVD player have been thrown in as well. The TH2 Multivan is priced at 145,000 Euros.
