The world’s biggest auto show, the Frankfurt Auto Show will see the premiere of the most fuel economical Golf. The new Golf BlueMotion is truly a miser when it comes to spending fuel, a full tank (55 litres) will take you to distances more than 1200km.

This new BlueMotion uses only 4.5 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers, Carbon dioxide emission is low, the new Golf exhales only 119grams per kilometer. Golf follows fourth after Polo, Passat and Passat Variant to wear the BlueMotion badge. Under its hood is a TDI with 77 kW / 105 PS engine that generates 250 Newton-meter of torque.

What makes the new Golf such a fuel-miser? A number of changes and equipment work together to reduce the consumption of gasoline and provide better fuel economy to the Golf. Software intervention in engine management reduces its idling speed and longer gear ratios for the third, fourth and fifth gear save fuel by nearly 0.2 liters because engine speed levels are low during the drive.

Thoroughly trimmed underbody and a nearly enclosed radiator grille play their part in reducing fuel consumption. To prevent engine overheating, the Golf BlueMotion has a dual fan. More work with the aerodynamics, including the lowering of the chassis takes the cW value to 0.30.

Golf BlueMotion comes with Trendline and Comfortline equipment options. Standard equipment includes the Multifunctional Display Plus (MFA Plus) with gear recommendation arrow that will help you change gears and a sports chassis. The Trendline will cost €20,615 and will be available in German Showrooms by the end of this year.
