Volvo C30 is certainly the car for Awards, in its first year of launch it has managed to win few prestigious awards pertaining to its compact size and appealing looks. The German, Golden Steering Wheel Award is one of the most esteemed awards in the automotive industry and Volvo managed to Bag it for the third time.
The Eminence of this award is evident by the fact that Volvo cars President and CEO Fredrik Arp accepted this award at a distinguished ceremony in Berlin. He Quoted:
We are very proud of this award. It is proof that our cars hold a prominent position, even in the toughest competition.
This award is organized by Bild am Sonntag newspaper, which has a whooping circulation of 2.3 million. This year’s jury consisted 25 global automotive specialists who put Volvo C30 in the first place in six out of fifteen categories. Prior to this Volvo won this award in 2004 with the V 50 and in 2000 with the S 60.
This year C30 has won two other prestigious awards, namely: The Auto Bild Design Award in Germany and the Italian L’Automobile piů Bella del Mondo, where it was crowned the world’s most beautiful car.
