volvo upgrades flexifuel engine

Volvo has powered up its 2.5-liter FlexiFuel engines, and the power gain does not come at the cost of efficiency, in fact, the efficiency has gone up as well by 5 to 6 per cent. Volvo’s 2.5-liter FlexiFuel engine now gets 231 hp of and 340 Nm of torque, a gain of 40Nm for torque, and 30 horses. While the gain in efficiency depends upon the car, the fuel, the drivetrain and a whole lot of other factors, the increase in output with actual reduction in emissions is definitely good. The upgraded engine will be available on the Volvo S80 and Volvo V70 next month.
