Every year more than 1, 00,000 people in China loose their lives because of accidents. This situation seems more precarious when compared with accidental deaths in countries like Britain, where this stat hovers around the 3500 mark. Volvo is more concerned than any other Auto Giant in this area, as they have their centers gathering information on Crashes in Sweden, Thailand and the US.
Pertaining to this alarming situation, Volvo has established a new Contingent in China to collect more data on crashes. Their New Traffic Accident Research Center will provide them more information to study at its headquarters in Gothenburg.
Until now, the newest systems in use on Volvo cars include a collision detection system and with the addition of this new Chinese Contingent, they will certainly get a lot more information to work on, which will in turn enhance the safety quotient in all Volvo Cars .
Safety definitely heads the priority list of all customers , but too much of safety beepers can make driving a confusing affair, so I just hope, Volvo chooses a fine line where safety is incorporated but not as a deterrent to ones driving comfort .
