Volkswagen is ready to make a debut of the 14th model series, the new Tiguan Volkswagen sports utility vehicle, at the international auto show (IAA in Frankfurt). It will be the second SUV from Volkswagen. For now VW has officially unveiled snapshots of the much awaited Tiguan.
People who were waiting to watch some forcefulness and attitude from the concept Tiguan will not have their expectations fulfilled as it is a mild version with some modest emergence. It is having a great blend of beastly power with grace that has no match. It is visualized to be a runner in every sphere from urban road traffic to end less savage landscape.

The Tiguan will be powered by turbocharged direct injection engines. There will be three TSI and two TDI engines. These TDIs are extremely quiet with a common rail fuel injection system. The TSI can produce 103kw/140hp and the TDI, 125kw/170hp which is good enough for a four-wheel drive. Both the engines meet the Euro-5 emission standards which will come into effect from 2009.
turbocharged gasoline engines produce 110kw/150hp, 125kw/170hp and 147kw/200hp. TSI engines have a high torque, envisaged with the qualities like power economy and low emission levels.
Volkswagen is going to operate on all of its direct injection power plants both petrol and diesel. But only a 200hp, 2.0-liter TFSI engine will be available for customers in the US while the TDI version will be seen after some time.
Tiguan is a cross breed of a coupe and SUV, on its front are the two good looking proportions taken from the concept Tiguan, with both head and rear lights having a matching shape. The adapted profile spans in between the stretched out, wheel archways are very impressive with distinctive Volkswagen C-pillars. A very diminutive jut out over differentiates the sharp rear end.

The Tiguan will be available in some of the world markets with a choice of front ends. First of the two models will be named Trend & Fun and Sports & Style with a maximum entry angle of 18 degrees at the front. The third of its kind will be named Track & Field. It will have a revised front making it capable of moving on bad terrain and making off road destinations accessible, with a capability of 28 degree entry angles.
There is an off road mode attached to it and with a push of a dashboard button it will trigger a propel of other safety features. It is a new technology and only is featured in the Track & Field car, it will automatically switch to a hill descent control and hill climb assist, advance the throttle retort to allow more exact torque delivery and enhance braking on wobbly surfaces taking it ahead of the avant-garde technology.

After making its debut at the Frankfurt auto show, it will be available to customers in Europe early next year. The second SUV from VW will be a loyal successor of the first Touareg, defining itself in its own way, standing alone in its class.
