Volkswagens’s latest SUV is finally christened...Tiguan. The name was decided after 350,000 readers of Auto Bild voted. Clearly the name was chosen due to its extreme likeness to what the car represents. Tiguan is a combination of the words ‘tiger’ and ‘iguana’-the power of this SUV is rightly represented in the name. The SUV, like a tiger stands for power and strength. A suitable machine for rough terrain as well as urban neighborhoods.
So if you have clicked your vote for Tiguan and not Nanuk, Namib, Rockton, or Samun, then hold your breath...you just might be the lucky winner who gets to own one the Tiguan for free when it launches in 2008.
