There is always this land speed record that is being constantly hunted down and I fear that someone someday will seriously hurt themselves again in this madness. There is a certain limiting point to this and that is set both by nature and mechanics. Beyond that point, every little gain will be 10 times harder to achieve and will be 100 times more dangerous. The land speed record and even the one in water will stop improving shortly and irrespective of how hard you might try, it is just not possible to completely eliminate the drag and go further.
But that is not stopping a few guys from still trying their very best. But the problem with the situation is that there is no one to sit in the cockpit and steer the thing home. The North American Eagle, a 42,500bhp jet car with everything it takes to smash the land speed record is attempting to do just that, but it lacks a guy who can hold it steady at that speed. The metamorphosis of this car has taken Shadle, an amateur motor racing driver and former American air force pilot, and Keith Zanghi, a Boeing engineer, more than a decade of work in a rented aircraft hangar near Seattle.

The project has received funding and parts from companies in the United States and Canada but Shadle has also spent more than $150,000 of his own money to pursue his dream. The problem is that they want the driver now. Anyone who is in between the age of 20 and 40 with good looks and a charisma that can attract both the media and some cash are welcome to apply. So are you interested? No, I mean seriously, are you interested to take on the challenge? Okay, first look up in the mirror and then if you are so damn sure, Click Here. And no, I didn’t apply.
