SEMA is going to be a treat for the auto enthusiasts. Lexus has already announced its range of vehicles for the show and now the parent company Toyota has announced that it will show the Matrix at SEMA. Matrix will have the 2009 Toyota Corolla for company. SEMA begins October 30 and will go on till November 3. Hyundai’s RWD coupe has generated a lot of speculation and interest; the best available information on the coupe came from spy shots or speculations. But there is solid ground to stand on now because the company finally parted with a tiny bit of information on the coupe.
Toyota ‘enters the Matrix’ at SEMA: Toyota has announced that 2009 Matrix will be unveiled at SEMA. The company also released a teaser image of the car. Teaser image has little to reveal and shows the car under cover; it would be as good to have a look at its spy shots.
The 2009 Toyota Corolla will also appear at SEMA. It is likely that both cars will share the same engines, the 1.8L that pumps out 128hp and 125lb-ft of torque and another option can be the Camry’s 2.4L that generates 158hp.
Finally, an official word on Hyundai’s RWD Coupe: Hyundai has remained tight-lipped about the RWD Coupe, well, the company finally parted its lips a bit and threw out some details of the RWD Coupe. No, there aren’t going to be any diesel or hybrid variants, and forget about a V8 model as well.
RWD coupe will weigh heavier on your pocket as compared to the Tiburon which it is replacing. RWD coupe is said to be influenced by the Veloster concept; the ‘influence’ however is limited to 50-60% of the car’s styling.
