2007 Camaro Concept

For those who think that the big hype around GM’s Camaro meant corresponding success in sales, here is an interesting analysis done by Automotive Columnist, Eric Peters, who on the contrary, has already seen the death of the car. Surprised?

Any product should be made having maximum consumers in mind... this is one spot GM, surprisingly is not strong at. The Camaro is a totally ‘guy-thing’ and especially the younger guys who love to flex their muscles. Great there could be buyers when it releases in 2007 - however, such buyers represent only tiny percent of the population and not enough to save the car from crumbling. Leaving women and older men out is the most impractical step to take.

Besides, high gas prices, it is obvious, will stay on for sometime and definitely would still be here in 2007. Therefore, for this gas thirsty auto ...... it is its worst enemy.

In the face of this crisis and stiff competition, the only solution is to make the car as cheap as possible. The question is whether GM would be willing to take that chance?
