Wiesmann GT MF 5 was unveiled at Frankfurt, but the company decided to show it at a local dealership rather than the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new car is powered by a 5.0L V10 that endows it with 507hp.
The engine comes from BMW M5/M6 cars and is mated to a seven-speed sequential automatic transmission. This car can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 193mph. Body panels are added on an aluminium monocoque. Exteriors of the car add a new rear wing and a diffuser. MF5 moves on 19-inch alloy wheels.
Interiors remain plush. The bucket seats can be adjusted to follow the occupant’s body contours. Carbon seats are optional. Spring 2008 will see the first deliveries of this $250,000 car to customers.
