It won’t be nice to call it a wheelchair...literally. The Wizzybug, an electric vehicle that looks like a toy car, has been made to suit a wide range of mobility-impaired children. It is the finale of three years of extreme research and engineering proficiency at the University of Bath.

The vehicle features varied types of controllers, from joysticks to hand and head switches that help the disabled youngsters drive and steer. During the making process, the engineers worked in tandem with children with disabilities, their parents and professional therapists.

The total range mobility vehicle is around 5 miles on a single battery charge and it has the ability to get to 2mph. Weighing 31.3kg, the Wizzybug boasts a fully modifiable seating system, a programmable joystick control and memory foam cushions for comfort of the disabled.
Each Wizzybug costs about £1,500 to £2,000, which is just about covers the manufacturer’s cost involved in making this fun electric car. After all, it’s for a noble cause.
