75-year-old Bruce Crower will always be remembered in the automotive world. Age has not deterred him for undertaking a next to impossible task, of inventing World’s first Six-Stroke Engine that has the potential to cut fuel cost and save the environment.
Modifying a single-cylinder diesel engine into a gasoline engine plus a few more changes, he has brought out what might just be the First Six-Stroke Engine. Utilizing the wasted heat energy created by fuel combustion, he manages to add two more strokes to the engine cycle. He also ingeniously used the steam, generated by the heated cylinder after combustion, to pull down the piston which in turn cools the engine.
The engine is still at the concept stage and once it finalizes we will be presented with a remarkable engine that gives normal levels of power, but using much less fuel and also repealing the need for an external cooling system. He also plans a diesel version that could be aptly used in semi trucks.
