This Japanese advert for the new Honda Stepwgn shows when it comes for the whole family to travel, Ultraman and the Ultraman family have their eyes only for a Honda. Nothing very special about the ad, but it’s got a wee bit of interesting stuff along.

Armored cars offer enhanced protection to their passengers, and just to show how good their armor is, Mutec put it through a ballistic test, on a Rolls Royce Phantom! Shooting and trying to blow a Phantom looks all too evil, even if it is just to support their armor’s claims. Granted, the car was not totaled, and perhaps not even severely damaged, but still, it’s a freakin’ Phantom you’re trying to blow. Video after the jump.

With ever pressing time limits on business, and the lack of any specific, high speed airplane to function as a business jet, Aerion Corporation is seeing an opportunity with a supersonic business jet. The company is already taking deposits for its 8-seater, and 12-seater business jets which it claims will be able to fly at a speed of 1.5 Mach.

Croatian architects UPI-2M have an interesting proposal for sustainable and environmentally friendly biofuel production. The BioOctanic tower as it is called, appears as a high tower placed over gas stations. This tower will be capable of producing biofuel and city air recuperation. These BioOctanic towers will be vertical farms and biofuel factories placed atop existing gas stations.

The Mazda RX-Z concept by designer Andrus Ciprian is very much a simple and straight design, much like his earlier Dacia MC concept. The idea behind the RX-Z is to act “as a link between fossil fuel cars and more ecological ones,” and as a replacement for the “aging” RX-8.

The custom V8-powered motorcycles you see here are the brainchild of Amadeu Ferreira Junior. Produced by Amadeu’s Cosmos Muscle Bike Company, both motorcycles come with a fuel injected 350 cubic inch engine for some serious power, and quite possibly, overkill. The 2RWF looks more like a traditional motorcycle, which means that this one has two wheels unlike its 4RWF sibling which moves on four wheels.

The driving simulators in the market mostly are oh so cool and at the same time hot enough to burn a hole through your wallet, and go all the way through your pocket. That’s where the way of the DIYer comes in, as evident by this driving station. Created by a Japanese fan, this one is made of PVC pipes, a wooden plank, and cable ties. Plus, it comes complete with a steering wheel, foot pedal mounts and it can be folded and stashed away easily.

Concrete mixers are usually drab, plain giant trucks going about their business of mixing concrete without much ado. Well, as they say, exceptions are everywhere, even in concrete mixers. This truck is all into the business of grooving, with the shiny sparkly mixer it has. This truck was apparently made in Hungary for PLACCC 2009, an art festival held in Budapest.

The Yamaha Super Tenere concept could well have been the ninja in the world of motorcycles, especially with the almost masked face and as the above image shows, a background that looks like an illusion. Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show, the concept is just fabric over skeletal mechanic components. Imaginative at the concept is, it is also a great way for Yamaha to preview its upcoming Super Tenere 1200 production bike.
