The HPP Daytona Challenger made its appearance at SEMA, and that is one stunning car. These studio shots show the car in amazing beauty, but it’s not just the looks this car has to show, it is quite a powerhouse with all its retro-istic beauty. The car’s supercharged 5.7-l V8 churns out 600hp of power, making it all the more interesting. More images after the jump.

It may sound crazy, weird and extreme at the same time, but Bob Moravitz along with his family and friends takes great joy in the “heavenly” time killer called Car Launching; or as he affectionately calls it, “Crash for Clunkers.” In the event that lasted eight hours, cars, a pickup, two school buses, and a camper with a boat in tow, all took the final plunge off a cliff. Just in case you were wondering where the crazy (but fun) idea came from, here’s the story, “The idea was inspired last year by boredom and a strong desire to drive something off of a cliff. So Bob’s son Rick and his buddy Jake figured out a way to turn big cars into remote-controlled toys.”

A gun to the head will usually make any person follow your orders (Chuck Norris not included), but Xero is “advancing” the power of the gun to its skateboards. Xero’s new, electric powered eBoard Neo skateboard is controlled by a gun.

The board can reach a top speed of 14mph, gets a range of 13 miles on a full charge, and takes three to four hours for a full recharge. It costs $360, and that price likely includes the premium of being able to control a skateboard with a gun.

Have a look at the video, and all that comes to the mind is that this is one lucky guy, or the video’s a fake. Also, he’s pretty quick to have escaped from a near-death situation twice. He’s on the train tracks, and a train comes along, he jumps to escape and falls onto the tracks at the side, where another train makes its appearance. Quite miraculously, and with swiftness, the man manages to escape this one as well.

With Christmas close at hand, a Dutch dealer decided to get to the holiday season by covering a Porsche 911 Carrera S with chocolate. So that’s a combo of a delicious sportscar wrapped in 386 pounds of delicious chocolate. A few extra pounds of white chocolate were added to highlight the lamps on the car. The Porsche however, isn’t taking the brunt of the chocolate on its body (except the weight). The car was carefully laminated before the delicious brown chocolate was poured onto it. Shaun Irving’s delivery van also serves another purpose; it is a camera on wheels. He bought the old truck off eBay, and set out to convert it into a huge camera. The truck has a hole drilled onto the side, and with some military surplus lenses, and light sensitive photographic paper, it works quite well as a camera. And Irving’s got a number of beautiful images of Richmond to prove his point. Watch the truck in action in the videos after the jump.

A Volkswagen initiative, The Fun Theory looks out for creative solutions to some mundane problems. Solutions that would make ideas fun, and make it easier for people to walk the green path. The latest is the Bottle Bank Arcade Machine that encourages people to recycle glass bottles, and have fun doing that. The recycling bin “Arcade” behaves like a game, complete with music and lights that tell you which slot the bottle should go in. Oh, and it also rewards points for the “game.”

The Frictionator is built upon a Ford F650 that carries an unusual cargo. Strapped onto the bed of the pickup is a mighty General Electric J85 Jet Engine that endows the car with monstrous power. The truck commanding a monstrous 7000hp, with 200 mph top speed is labeled street legal, but we guess that label vaporizes as soon as the jet engine kicks in. This ad for the Toyota hybrid synergy drive puts the “system” in a human form to bring forward its idea of “Better Together.” And it does that quite well, both guys are in perfect synergy, and manage to get the job done without undue interference. It may be creepy to actually have a person like that with you, but the concept of Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy drive does come out very well.
